Today I decided to fly to LA, 50 hours before the flight left. David's been nominated for a VES award and we decided, fuck it let's go! He's just left being a compositor at ILM to work at The Foundry so as neither of us are now working as VFX artists we may never get another nomination between us.
Very exciting but how is this relevant to Backward Day I hear you ask. Good question...because it isn't. The point I’m trying to make is that I was extremely rushed and in a flap trying to organising getting us to the other side of the world with no notice. Visas take 72 hours to process and we're pretty much winging it. So I may have forgotten to celebrate today.
Backward day...1/10 the whole thing was a mad stress and kinda, well backward.
